This month’s blog is on electrical safety. I came across this story from a Mike Holt weekly email and it made me stop and think how fast we can be injured as electricians. The Curtis Weber story is not even about an electrician, but rather a young man working on a farm and how his life was changed forever in a matter of milliseconds. 3 cycles of 14,400 volts passed through his body in less than a 10th tenth of a second. Always be aware of our surroundings and take the extra few minutes to look around you to be sure you are working in a safe environment.
This is our first blog here at King’s Electric Services and we want to welcome you. After being with King’s for the past 28 years, I am really excited about things here right now. I honestly cannot remember a time where I was more enthusiastic about the company. You ask why? Well for starters we are constantly refining our processes by being intentional in looking for ways to improve, to go beyond being a good company to being a great company. This applies not only to our work but also for our customers.
We are striving to be a lean company which means to find ways to continually improve and eliminate waste. This has been a focus for almost 2 years and we are making small changes every week. Here is a link to check out what lean is about: http://www.leanconstruction.org/
